Out of the loop...

<

So it has been a REALLY crazy few weeks... There have been so many things happening in our world... I just couldn't keep up with the blogging. Everything between Birthdays, Baptisms, Cancer scares, surgeries, First days of school, Baby showers, Baby births, visits from in-laws, ... I don't even know where to begin blogging. And all of this surrounded by the everyday mumbo jumbo... Lets just say we have had a VERY fun filled, and worrisome past few weeks.

First and foremost I need to post a little on my mother in law, being that I get frequent questions from family and friends as to how she is holding up. Well, to catch ya'll up, on Aug. 10th she was shockingly diagnosed with Cancer... the kind she had was similar to pancriatic cancer however it wasn't in her pancrias it was at the head of her pancrias but they treat it like pancriatic cancer. Within a little over a week she was scheduled for surger to remove it. The surgery she had done was called the whipple surgery... It is a MAJOR surgery and very scarey! Look it up if you interested... bottom line is she lost pieces of most of her major organs... She is now doing remarkably well. The cancer did not spread (thank heaven) and she is now "cancer free"! I am not sure whether they have decided to do chemo or not, but we are so very greatful that she is doing well. She is home, and recovering like a champ (of course we knew she would.) She is a trooper... She would never let something like CANCER beat her!

Brenna had her back to school night at the beginning of the month and started school on the 8th it has been a MUCH awaited day for her (and me, I won't lie). Thus far, she LOVES it and on day 2 of school, she made her first new friend. When I asked her what her new friends name was, she said... "I don't know mom, she is the black girl." I immediately had to have a talk to her about defining people by there color. I told her we are all people regardless of our skin color, and I understand that is the way she recognizes her right now, but it is better for her to get to know her by name. So she said "Okay mom, I will ask her name next time." She is such a silly goose!

Brenna's back to school night and her first day of school.

Bill and I have discovered that Sam, is remarkably WELL BEHAVED when sis is at school. We have very much enjoyed our alone time with him. It is nice to see him not have to compete with sissy and just be his sweet self. And he has even taken a nap both days she has gone to school... WOW!!!

Bill's mom and step-dad came up for a visit this past week... It was really nice to visit with them. Although they were up here tending my sis-in-laws girls so she could enjoy a cruise to the Bahama's (the brat, I know)... we were able to spend quite a bit of time with them, and Steph's girls of course! They left last monday, only to be called on Tuesday with the news that my niece (there grand daughter) was being induced and that they long awaited great grand daughter would be entering the world.

On Sept. 8th Ella went into the doctor's (miserable as ever) and told him she was ready to be done... everything hurt, she was sick, and couldn't do it anymore. Her doctor then decided to do a quick ultra-sound and found that her fluid levels were low, so he sent her straight to the hospital. They started the pic line at about 7pm, and little Asher Kaylynne Westley entered the world at 3:25am on Sept. 9, 2009. Weighing 6lbs 2oz, 19 1/2 inches... dark hair, and surrounded by lots and lots of love. I was honored to be able to be there with my Ella, and experience the birth of this little angel. Ella did AWSOME! She just blew me away!

So needless to say, we have had a VERY busy past few weeks... and I have left out half of it. So, I appologize for the delay in blogging...
