No more monkey's climbing up the dressers...

On Oct. 13th, Brenna and Sam had a little accident. The two little rug rats decided it would be fun to climb Sam's dresser. Well, all the fun they had planned to endure went away when the dresser fell over on top of both of them. Sam was fine, just startled, but poor Brenna took the brunt of it all. She got knocked out and was very confused. She wasn't able to move her right arm either. Of course I was FREAKING out. I was in my room sorting clothes when I heard the crash, and rushed to my babies and pulled them both out from under the dresser. I quickly threw some clothes on myself and RUSHED Brenna to the hospital. She had a HUGE goose egg on her head, and being that she had been knocked out and couldn't move her arm I thought for sure she had something going on in her head... I have been asked why I didn't call an ambulance, I really don't know the answer to that. I probably should have being concerned about her head, but I thought I could get her to the hospital faster than they could. Anyway, after a CT scan and some x-rays on her arm, wrist, and hand it was determined she had a concussion and to expect some concussion like symptoms for about 48-72 hours and moments of confusion. Which did come. Also she had a broken hand. Well more specifically, she broke the 2nd meta-carple bone in her right hand. We were released from Pioneer Valley Hospital with instructions to go see and orthopedic. So I went home and called up to Primary Childrens and mad appointment for that next day. After more x-rays, we got to see the doctor who explained to us that we were lucky she wasn't a few years older because the type of break Brenna has requires surgery as you get older. Well, thank you Brenna for not waiting another couple years for this medical mishap! I swear this child should have a room reserved for her at the hospital...

She wasn't too happy about any of this can you tell? She picked a pink cast, which today was replaced with a purple cast because she was so swollen when they cast her originally that as the swelling went down the cast became loose and her hand began bugging her when she would bump it or move her fingers. I will post a pic of the new (CLEAN, non-stinky) cast soon!

Happy 4th Baby B~Rock!

On October 11th, my little girl celebrated her 4th birthday. She decided she wanted a costume birthday party, so all her friends and cousins came dressed to impress! This year for halloween she wanted to be a "snow princess," what's more appropriate for the birthday girl??? Snow Princess Brenna had a wonderful party and got so many wonderful gifts. Thanks to all our family and friends who came and helped us celebrate our little girl!

This is Brenna in her birthday outfit on her actual birthday... We went out to dinner to TGI Friday's to celebrate!

I love this girl!

Individuality....

I know it is important to allow your kids to explore and become their own person. However, This is where I draw the line!

Brenna and Sam decided they wanted to dress themselves this day... if this is what they think is appropriate attire, I will most deffinately be puting my thumb down when it comes to their clothes!

Pure Bliss...

Every moment spent with my lovely niece Ella is so special to me... and now, not only do I have her to love and adore, I have little Asher too. And to make things even more wonderful... Add Kassi and Lil' Melody to the mix... to me these moments are "Pure Bliss!"

Risky Business....

You may recognize this picture....

That's right! It's good ol' Tom Cruise from in Risky Business... A few weeks ago I had to pull out my camera when I caught Sam jammin' out with his guitar in nothing but a button up shirt... Reminded me so much of this well known scene Tom had done! What do you think?

Personally I think Sam is WAY cuter!

Pumpkin Painting

At the beginning of the month (when it was still warm) I went and picked the kids up some pumpkins. I am not a big fan of carving pumpkins because the guts make my hands and arms itch, so we have made it tradition to paint some pumpkins in early october and leave them outside through thanksgiving... if they last. Bill even joined in the fun with Sam and came out to ride the wiggle cars with him. I really love times like these with my kids!
