Dad's 50th Birthday

Last Saturday, the 17th we celebrated my Dad's 50th Birthday. It was a total BLAST and he said it was his best birthday EVER. Overall it was a huge success! My dad is a great person, and I am so glad that he is living his life the way he wants to now. Happy Birthday Daddy!

My Oil Painting.

At the beginning of the week my sister in law was over painting my dad a picture for his birthday. She convinced me to go buy a canvas myself and try this painting thing out... so I did. This is my masterpiece! (not much of one, but not to bad for my first try) Just wanted to put a quick post on about it... don't know that oilpainting is something I am going to continue to do... takes a REALLY long time to dry! Maybe next time I will try water colors! LOL

Today I have just been being lazy, doing the laundry. The kids and I are still in our jammies, just hanging out. Sam came into me, had taken off his Jammies and brought me two mittens and Brenna's leg warmers... as he handed them to me he said..."dressed!" So I put them on and he was so thrilled with the days outfit he had picked out. I had to post a couple pics just because he was so proud of himself for picking his clothes out today.

2009 Medical Bills begin...

So my hope for a medical bill free year is already up in smokes just 13 days into the new year! Grrrrr. Today I made my anual trip to the OB, and sinse I have had Sam I have been having Really bad pains. Today, the doc has come to the conclusion that I have Endometriosis, something I have been blessed to genetically recieve from my mom. In the next 2 days I should be hearing from my Doc, to schedule a date for surgery. First we try a laperscopic surgery to go in and burn out the endometriosis and the uterin walls... and if that doesn't subside my pain by August or Sept. I will be going in for a Hysterectamy. Yes that's right, I will be 26 years old, and having to say so long to my female annatomy!!!! How scarey! I will keep posted on how this all pans out, but DAMN!!!

Sam's Nap Time...

Man! I am at a complete loss... I guess I am posting this, searching for some advise. Sam has ALWAYS taken naps, for about the first year, he took 3 or 4 short 30min naps a day... And then, he switched to just one GOOD, 1 1/2 to 2 hour nap after lunch. Let me tell you... Those naps have been absolutely WONDERFUL. Gives me just enough time to clean up lunch mess, and get a little cleaning, and one on one time in with Brenna. In the recent weeks, he has decided that he doesn't need naps anymore. And amongst all the Holiday mumbo jumbo, I was still really careful about pushing for a nap amongst everything that was going on. When I put him down, first he cries for a bit. Then he plays for a little while... good 20 minutes or so. And then he begins calling for me repeatedly. So I go in,lay him down and he cries for another 20-30 minutes before he finally falls asleep. All the while, I am trying to keep Brenna entertained and quiet so he can fall asleep. So, what it boils down to is that it takes me over an hour to finally get him to go to sleep... and I feel awful letting sit in his crib for that long, but I am sooooooo not ready for his naps to end. I need that time, and so does he. If he doesn't get a nap during the day then by dinner time he is so onry it is such a chore just to get some food in his belly before bath and bed at 8. I am at my whits end really... Do I just give in, and end the nap time? Or do I stick to my guns just a little longer? He is only 20 months... Shouldn't they nap at least until they are 2?

My Music Player...

So, I finally figured out how to get a music player put on here... You could say I have a pretty diverse range of music that I like. Obviously I couldn't put EVERYTHING on here, but it is a start. I have been told I am old at heart with some of the music I listen too... but I will be the first to admit that the 80's and 90's had some awsome music. It was real, raw... not any of this new school digitally altered crap. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

Happy New Year!!!

Well, I was kind of a pooper on new years... Billy was working and the kids weren't feeling so well. I did go out to a friends in Stansbury, until about 10pm. Then came back home. I hope everyone had a great, and safe new year... unfortunately I forgot to put my card in my camera, so the only shot I have of the night was one I took of myself.


I did my hair all up, and it looked lovely! So I had to snap a quick shot of it! Anyway, here is to an AWSOME 2009!!!!!!
